I am a player of older games like Valve's Homeworld, and Blizzard's Starcraft, and most of its visual inspiration comes from there. Major credit goes to the artists who designed the ships in each game. This ship is based on your work, and my draft name for it is the 'Kushan', due to its obvious resemblance to the Kushan Carrier from Homeworld 1. Of course major credit, and my personal thanks, also goes to whomever initially conceptualised the 'Gatling Railgun'. You demonstrated to me clearly what one can do with this game and some trigonometry, and your design is prominently featured on this ship. I have discovered that once timed and built 'properly', they can add massive precision and firepower to about any weapon with some creativity. I even used the 'window' block as my trip on the 13-barrel Gatling railgun as an homage to that. Hybrid Ion/Hydrogen drive design, specialised for deep space patrols and scouting asteroid belts. Designed to survive SOME direct collisions with asteroids. Onboard foundry with industrial refinery and assembler, upgraded for refinery yield and overall power efficiency, A small, protected hanger which should hold at least 2 small-block, fighter-type craft. One rotor-hinge-piston-rotor-hinge, connector crane in the hanger, A compact 'CPU core' concept I have for timer blocks, etc, using a rotor and small-grid head so I can use small timer blocks, etc. Design intended to be 100% buildable and usable in Survival Mode. One, large-block, fixed, forward-facing, 4-Barrel Gatling railgun autocannon. Sub-Primary: (Ideal for Gunner to operate) One, small-block, fixed, forward-facing, 13-Barrel Gatling railgun. 6 supermounted Artillery Turrets which can all fire forwards, downwards, and upwards. 4 " " Subgrid Gatling Turrets, 2 port, and 2 Starboard, 3 point defense Assault Cannon Turrets, One Top/Fore, and 2 Aft, Port and Starboard, One custom, 5-Railgun Hinge-Ball Turret, with 4 merge block hardpoints for small-grid missiles/torpedoes. 2 " " Standard Missile Turrets, one Top/Port, and one Starboard. POTENTIAL HIGH-PERFORMANCE WARNING: The 'GREAT CLANG' seems to take issue with the volume of sub-grids this ship has, and the 'Omnious One' demands a moderately well performing system and/or server to handle it. As a Ship-of-the-Line, it is a 'Jack-of-all-trades' design. ![]()
